CLAVATA3/EMBRYO SURROUNDING REGION Genes Involved in Symbiotic Nodulation in Pisum sativum

چکیده
CLE (CLAVATA3/Embryo Surrounding Region) peptides regulate different aspects of plant development. In legumes, are known as key components autoregulation nodulation (AON), which systemically controls the number nitrogen-fixing nodules formed on root upon symbiotic interaction with soil bacteria rhizobia. produced in response to rhizobia inoculation and transported via xylem shoot, where they recognized by a specific receptor. As result, subsequent nodule development is suppressed negative feedback mechanism. addition, nitrate-induced genes have been identified model mediate nitrate-dependent inhibition nodulation. However, little about functions nodulation-related peptides, not studied Pisum sativum. Here, we four homologues sativum, closely related nodulation-suppressing CLEs from other legumes. The expression levels these were increased developing nodules. Among them, PsCLE13, PsCLE12, PsNIC-like upregulated nitrate treatment. Moreover, found that overexpression PsCLE13 PsCLE12 resulted decreased transgenic roots. pea TOO MUCH LOVE (TML) PsCLE13- PsCLE12-overexpressing roots comparison control (GUS-overexpressing) roots, suggesting inhibitory effect mediated through induction PsTML genes.

Interactions between Symbiotic Nitrogen Fixation, Combined-N Application, and Photosynthesis in Pisum sativum
The efTect of photosynthetic photon flux density (PPFD) on nitrogen utilization was determined in peas (Pisum sativum L. cv. Alaska) inoculated with Rhizobium leguminosarum and treated with nutrient solutions containing no combined nitrogen, 16 mM NOj", or 16 mM N H / . Plants were grown under controlled conditions at three PPFD values ranging from severely limiting to nearly saturating. Carbox...
متن کاملEthylene Inhibitors Restore Nodulation to sym 5 Mutants of Pisum sativum L. cv Sparkle.
The sym 5 mutants of pea, Pisum sativum L. cv Sparkle, do not differ in growth habit from their normal parent and nodulate poorly at a root temperature of 20 degrees C. If inhibitors of ethylene formation or action (Co(2+), aminoethoxyvinylglycine, or Ag(+)) are added to the substrate, nodulation of the sym 5 mutants is increased. Similar treatments of four other mutant sym lines do not restore...
متن کاملEffect of exogenous flavonoids on nodulation of pea (Pisum sativum L.).
Selected flavonoids that are known as inducers and a suppressor of nodulation (nod) genes of the symbiotic bacterium Rhizobium leguminosarum bv. viciae were tested for their effect on symbiosis formation with garden pea as the host. A solid substrate was omitted from the hydroponic growing system in order to prevent losses of flavonoids due to adsorption and degradation. The presumed interactio...
متن کاملNucleic Acid Metabolism in Pisum sativum Alaska
Sunmmary. Phosfon-S, a substance which inhibits stem elongation, alters nucleic acid metaboli,sm in Pisutm sativum Alaska. Methylated albumin kieselguhr (MAK) columns were used to fractionate 32P-labeled nucleic acids. Phosfon-S treatment of the plants resulted in a decrease in soluble RNA and an increase in ribo, somal RNA. Specific activities of the various nucleic acid fractions were lower as...
